The WhatsApp service fails for the third time in two weeks



Mark Zuckerberg has apologized on Facebook for the problems that this failure has generated millions of users



The popular WhatsApp messaging service has once again caused problems for its users. For the third time in two weeks the system has failed and messages can not be sent or received.


The website Downreport registered a sharp increase in notices of suspension of WhatsApp services starting at 5:00 pm on the east coast of the United States, without Facebook - owner of the messaging service - giving any information during the first two hours. According to the data of the activity collection websites, both in the US and in some parts of Europe, Latin America and Africa did not work.

For his part, Mark Zuckerberg has apologized for the problems that this caused millions of users who were left without the service during the night of Wednesday through a response to a user who asked for explanations.

"We are working to make WhatsApp available again, we feel the inconvenience," said Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, to a Brazilian user who complained in the social network about the application's failure.

According to several specialized media, WhatsApp is preparing for a change dated for the next few weeks. It is likely that the problems are related to the adaptations that could lead to it becoming a messaging service based on cloud storage.

WhatsApp has more than one billion active users and is one of the most popular mobile and web applications on the internet.
