Samsung manages to charge its car batteries in 20 minutes

It offers a range of 600 kilometers and its main client is Faraday Future, the rival of Tesla

The struggle to be the leader in electric cars around the globe has left the race second to lead the autonomy of car batteries. The last one to offer its bet to the market has been the South Korean Samsung.

The Asian company has presented its latest generation of batteries that allows driving for more than 500 kilometers with a load of just 20 minutes.

Samsung SDI, the technology's battery division, is working to adapt its fast charging devices from smartphones to electric vehicles. An action in which Elon Musk and his superchargers already have an advantage, which allow the loading of a vehicle in less than 10 minutes to travel 400 kilometers.

The new batteries from Samsung will offer a route of between 500 and 600 kilometers with just 20 minutes of charging.

The South Korean has already established a plan to deploy its batteries in 2021. BMW, Lucid Motors and Faraday Future are three of the most famous customers of Samsung batteries that will compete in the market with Panasonic and Tesla.
